Mandi is one of the best childbirth educators on the north shore! My clients who take Mandi’s classes not only become as knowledgeable as Mandi but become confident in their birthing abilities. I highly recommend Mandi’s classes to all my clients.”
As second time parents, people were surprised to hear we were taking an eight-week childbirth class. “You did
this before, right? Did you forget how to push?” they joked. But having taken the hospital class the first time
around and having had one birth experience already, we knew there was so much more to learn to help us
have an empowered, natural birth experience. So I sought out something more comprehensive and my midwife
recommended Mandi’s classes. I’m so glad she did!
Mandi was a tremendous resource. Her classes covered all the nuts and bolts that first-time parents need to
know, but also labor positions and partner assisted techniques that even veteran parents like ourselves could
learn from. She was realistic and never preachy about having a natural birth; all kinds of interventions were
covered and there was never any judgment about deciding to use an epidural, etc. We felt prepared and
informed about all our options, no matter how the birth might progress. In the end, we had the amazing birth
we had hoped for without any pain medication. The positions and relaxation techniques from the class really
helped. My husband and I would highly recommend the classes to any expecting parents, whether this is your
first baby or not.
My husband and I had our first child in April and we had an absolutely wonderful (and fast) natural birth. We credit this in large part to Mandi’s Bradley class. Upon recommendation of a friend, I contacted Mandi early on in my pregnancy to sign up for the class . At the time, I was suffering from terrible morning sickness and Mandi was an immediate source of knowledge and support. We got so much out of the classes. He wanted to be very involved with the birth and we learned techniques from Mandi that enabled him to be a full participant, not just an ob server. The pregnancy exercises undoubtedly prepared my body and optimally positioned the baby. Knowing more about what to expect in the different phases of labor served to help me stay calm and focused when the big day arrived. Being aware of the different interventions and their potential side effects allowed my husband and I to make informed decisions about what was right for us and our baby. It was also really fun to meet so many other couples and share our experiences. We are so grateful for this amazing recourse!
My boyfriend and I knew we wanted a natural birth but we didn’t know quite how to prepare or what to truly expect. After taking Mandi’s classes we had a much greater understanding, not only of what to expect but questions to ask should our birth not go as desired. Thanks to everything we learned, we were able to have a unmedicated , natural birth that went beautifully. Mandi is an amazing teacher, full of love for her students, compassion and a wonderful sense of humor. We formed lasting friendships with her and the other couples in our class. I highly recommend this class to anyone curious about having a natural birth. It was more than what we hoped for.
We’re expecting our first child in July2014 and feel extremely lucky to have found the Bradley Method Class taught buy Mandi Ledwith. We didn’t know much of what to expect but from the get-go, Mandi created a welcoming and nurturing environment for everyone. We were blown away by her expertise and passion for being a teacher and go-to resource for existing and prior students. Mandi has empowered us with invaluable tools and knowledge as we go into childbirth. It has strengthened our bond around this pregnancy. The best part is that her class not only teaches you about natural childbirth but it also fosters quality time for you and your partner to focus on the pregnancy together. Lastly, we left knowing that no question was insignificant and that we can reach out to Mandi for her advice at any time.
Ben and I really believe that our Bradley classes prepared us so well to take on this challenge. I can’t imagine going into this experience without the knowledge we had. It made us feel empowered and prepared for every moment, and then for facing the decision for changing course once it made sense. The advice I will give to you, is to take every moment as it comes. Your preparation will come to you and you will be surprised in how easily you settle into it.
As a doula, Mandi has referred her students to me. It is always a pleasure for a doula to work with Mandi’s students as they are always well prepared and educated. Their questions for me are minimal because her classes covers all the bases. they are also sloe to fret over interventions because Mandi covers all the pros and cons and puts her students at ease. It’s a pleasure to work with her students and I highly recommend her, not only as a Childbirth Educator but a woman of integrity and high standards.
My husband and I loved attending our childbirth classes with Mandi. The setting was so intimate, with only two other couples besides ourselves. It really allowed for openness in sharing during our discussions. Mandi is an excellent teacher, answering all questions, inside and outside of class, during pregnancy and after the baby is born. Mandi was even so full of care for us, that she visited our home after our first child was born! We entered labor and delivery knowing what to expect, feeling equipped and empowered to take this birth on with confidence. My husband especially appreciated learning so much about the whole process and it really allowed him to feel involved in my pregnancy. He turned out to be an excellent coach during labor! We highly recommend working with Mandi to everyone we know. The Bradley Method is a great way to go if you are seeking a natural and unassisted childbirth. You will not regret your time spent with Mandi preparing for perhaps the most amazing event of your life!
“As a doula, I have supported several couples who have taken Mandi’s Bradley Method class to prepare for childbirth. These couples are always well educated and prepared, confident, and they work so well together as a team. It makes my job easier, but more importantly, it helps new families feel empowered to create the birth experiences they hope for.

Mandi’s class help provide us with multiple useful and practical tools to help with labor and birth. These included abdominal breathing, relaxation techniques, labor and pushing positions, emotional signs, physical signs and positive communication.
I am no longer afraid of the unknown associated with childbirth because I feel educated and prepared for the experience. It is a natural process that my body is created to perform. I really liked learning about the emotional signposts of labor and that many times it is a better predictor of labor progression than dilation. Also about staying home as long as possible. Many times first time moms take a while 12+ hours so don’t rush to the hospital when labor starts. I liked learning our options for labor, birth, postpartum, newborn procedures.
Mandi is very knowledgeable and experienced on the subject of childbirth. She always encouraged discussion and questions. I feel very comfortable talking with her and think of her as a friend that I can call at anytime with questions or concerns related to childbirth, breastfeeding or postpartum issues. The class was very personal and allowed us to share our thoughts, feelings and experienced.
Mandi is a wonderful instructor. It is very obvious that she has a great passion and commitment to educating parents in the joy of natural childbirth. We all felt well prepared and educated. I would recommend this class to anyone who is looking for a positive, meaningful, and empowering birth experience.
